"Bring Your Daughter to the slaughter" som nr. 2

Verdens dejligste Debat: 187 indlæg Fortolkeren: 0 indlæg Medlem siden: 17-10-2003	According to a posting on the IRON MAIDEN fan site MaidenFans.com, MAIDEN are very amused by a recent BBC Radio 1 poll celebrating the 1000th Number One single last week. Over 25,000 listeners voted for their favorite ever Number One single and IRON MAIDEN came second with their classic track "Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter", being narrowly beaten to the top spot by QUEEN with "Bohemian Rhapsody". And ironically, despite the obvious popularity and two weeks at No 1, this was probably the only one listed that didn't get any airplay or support BBC Radio. IRON MAIDEN drummer Nicko McBrain commented, "You have to have a laugh, don't you?! Radio 1 listeners in their droves vote for MAIDEN yet Radio 1 itself never plays us!!! And never have!! When this was No. 1 they didn’t even play it on the chart countdown!!! They obviously have little idea what their listeners, want which is probably why a lot of them are changing channels. Pathetic really. But thanks to the listeners — hopefully we will see a lot of you in the summer."
